What fun things are there to do in Honolulu on Oahu, Hawaii?

March 21st, 2009 -- Posted in spa hawaii | 4 Comments »

My husband and I are going to go to the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort and Spa for a week in Honolulu and were wondering if anyone had any suggestions of restaurants, snorkeling places, ropes courses, fun beaches, etc for us to do without going broke. Any suggestions? Thank you! :)
There's actually four sections of Oahu (going by shores):
-North Shore
-South Shore
-East Shore
-West Shore

(This has nothing to do with my answer, I just wanted to correct the third poster).

Anywhoo, you can buy an entertainment book, which is FILLED with coupons for everything you can imagine. Yes, you gotta pay for it but it's worth it.

After buying that, you can do whatever you want without going broke. I highly suggest you and your husband head out to Ku'aloa Ranch to horseback ride, go ATV'ing, kyaking, etc. It's a lot of fun.

Need Hawaii Vacation advice Quick!ASAP?

March 18th, 2009 -- Posted in spa hawaii | 2 Comments »

My family and I are thinking about going to Hawaii this summer. We are considering the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa. If you have been to Hawaii and know a just fabulous RESORT besides that, please let me know. Also if you have been to the Grand Wailea, please let me know as well. We consist of only one child and 2 parents. She is a teenager. PLEASE RESPOND!!

My wife and I have stayed twice at the Grand Wailea resort on Maui and it is a wonderful place for both you, your wife and your daughter to stay at on Maui. The grounds and the facilities along with the beach are all five star rated in my opinion.

Maui is the most westernized of the Hawaiian Islands with much to do both during the day and at night!! Its a must see if you have never been before.

My wife and I stick to Kauai now for our vacations because we like to lay on the beach and just veg a couple of times a year!!

Enjoy a great world class resort if decide to stay at the Grand Wailea!!

How is this hotel in kauai? how bout the beaches?!?

March 13th, 2009 -- Posted in spa hawaii | 5 Comments »

My family and I are staying at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa in Kauai, Hawaii. We are going next Friday the 13th and staying till the 23rd I believe. First, how is this hotel? Second, I heard Poipu Beach is right near this hotel, is the sand and water nice? ( when i say nice, i mean is the water crystal blue and the sand soft, etc ) Third, could you please tell me anything else there is to know about Kauai?!

Definitely a posh mega-resort, you will LOVE it! They have a network of fresh-water ponds with beautiful Japanese koi, with an amazing restaurant that appears to "float" in the water.

The Grand Hyatt is on the "dry" side of Kauai (this is a relative term remember), so the sun is normally out and there is less rain, which is why it is here next to Poipu Beach. Good snorkeling, sand and sun! The water is blue, but not as clear as some parts of the Caribbean or Tahiti because of the rich, nutrients draining from the volcanic islands, there is more algae in the water. You may not notice the difference, however.

Make sure to go to the rainy side of the island, called the Hanalei area, you can take a rubber-raft (zodiac) ride along the Na Pali coast to view sea caves and waterfalls that fall into the ocean! Just make sure to go on a day where the waves are not too rough…

You can also cruise down the Wailua River to the Fern Grotto. This is admittedly touristy, but if this is your first time here, definitely worth seeing a navigable river on such a little island!

Drive up to Waimea Canyon to see an amazing canyon which looks like the Grand Canyon…again amazing to have a canyon like this on such a little island, but of course as the rainiest spot on earth, a lot of water to carve the side of the volcano!

There is a restaurant which will be fun for you and the family, touristy and campy, but you will really enjoy it!:

Help me find Inexpensive parking in Waikiki, Hawaii!!?

March 4th, 2009 -- Posted in spa hawaii | 5 Comments »

I'll be staying at Aqua Bamboo and Spa and I was wondering if anyone knows if there is any free or cheap parking space around there.

Aqua Bamboo and Spa is charging $25 per day

I heard that the zoo is only charging 25cent an hour but how far is it from my hotel and can I park the car there over night?

Also, Waikiki Banyan Hotel is $10 per day, is it okay to park there even if your not staying there?

Are these places walking distance from my hotel?
Im going on Feb 28- April 6. My friend lives there and hes going to be staying with me the whole week so i don't want him to spend so much on parking fee.

The zoo is cheap but you can't park overnight and not for more than 4 hours I believe (they mark your tires). Besides you can't put in more than 2 hours of quarters at a time, so you would never sleep. It's 3 or 4 blocks from you.

What days are you staying? I know someone that lives at the Banyan. If it's $10/day I would take it. If you live there, it's free, you get a pass.

The only "cheap" parking is the open lot behind Fort DeRussy. That's about a 1/2 mile from where you are though.

This is why most people rent a car for a few days, then Bus it.

Also, check with Queen Kapiolani hotel, they may have cheap parking.

My godmother wants to take me on a birthday trip to either Hawaii or Plam springs.?

March 1st, 2009 -- Posted in spa hawaii | 1 Comment »

But i am under 13 and i need to find some cheap child friendly resorts here's what they have to have: a large pool with a slide oh and the resort cant be really bad and the rooms can not be tiny. If it is in palm springs it needs to be close to a water park. but if it is in hawaii it needs to be awsome. it also needs to have a fitness area or spa and a lot of child friendly areas.

You must provide me with the number ,the site and the location. please hurry the best answer wins! Good Luck!
i mean please help me! u dont have to give me everything but please at least the sites

sorry but who would waste their time finding all of this ?

Surprise 18th birthday party…does it sound fun?

February 27th, 2009 -- Posted in spa hawaii | 6 Comments »

My sister's birthday is in two weeks. She is going to be 18 and since we really didn't do anything special for her sweet 16 my mom and I are planning a surprise party for her. So the plan is to take her out to dinner to a nice restaurant for a "small family dinner" and then the next day she can do whatever she wants. That is what we are telling her so she doesn't feel bad. But instead her three best friends will be sitting at the table at the fancy restaurant. Then me, my mom, her, and my step dad will all go into the restaurant, and the waiter will sit us at the same table as her friends. (Parents will be at a different table of course.) That will be the first little surprise. Then after dinner instead of going home we are going to spend the night at a nice hotel down in Waikiki by the beach. (We live in Hawaii). She and her friends will have their own suit. The next day we can go to the spa, shop around, or go to the beach or pool. My mom was also thinking about getting her a Visa Debit Gift Card with a 'good amount of money' on it so she can have it to spend on whatever she wants. So do you think she will be happy? It's a total surprise because she thinks she is just going out to dinner with the fambam and then like hanging out with friends the next day.

Aww that sounds like so much fun. I think she will love it! I love Waikiki beach, I don't live in Hawaii but I go there a lot. It sounds like a great 18th birthday to me, she would have to be a crazy girl to not love it.

Massage Therapy Career in Hawaii

February 23rd, 2009 -- Posted in spa hawaii | No Comments »

A career in massage therapy begins with the selection of a program from any location that is part of the accredited massage therapy schools. By using the internet search engines, many students have found accredited schools in the town where they live. Students must consider their goals in life before applying to a massage therapy school. If the students goals match the curriculum that is being offered at the school that is the closest to them, then that is the school that should be selected. Some people will travel as far as the Hawaiian Islands to receive a quality education in massage therapy because aloha love is the center point of training there.

Massage therapy students should also consider massage therapy schools that have not been accredited by the U.S. Department of Education because certain course requirements might be shortened and fit in well with a massage therapists occupational goal. Some people that want to be massage therapists simply do not have the desire to wait four years before working in their field. Shorter education programs from non-accredited schools though will fit in well with their plans.
